(Updated 3 February 2008)

The RASNZ Occultation Section and the Astronomical Society of New South Wales are pleased to announce the Second Trans-Tasman Symposium on Occultations, to be held in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia over 2008 March 23-24 in conjunction with the 2008 National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers (NACAA). NACAA will commence on Friday March 21 and conclude about midday on Sunday March 23. The Symposium will run from early afternoon March 23 until the evening of Monday March 24.

The symposium is a follow-up to the very successful First Symposium held in Auckland in June 2007.  A similar scope of discussions and demonstrations is expected, as outlined in the Symposium webpage hosted on the NACAA website.

Registrations for both NACAA and the Occultation Symposium are now open. You can book online from the NACAA 2008 web registration page.

This page will be updated in coming months as planning for this event progresses.
