2 Prediction

Colchis occultation - 2007 September 10

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 51 km diameter of Colchis. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Albert was north or south of the central line of the event. However, assuming the updated prediction was approximately correct the shorter than expected chord of about 45 km would suggest that the chord might lie close to the central portion of the asteroid. The predicted line is about 105 km south of Albert's position, about 2 sigma from prediction showing that it is worth observing even when you are quite a way from predicted path.
