Hilda occultation - 2008 July 16

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 170 km diameter of Hilda. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Hristo was north or south of the central line of the event. However, with the constraint of Steve's miss it suggests that the central path might lie to the south of both observers. Another possibility is that the Hilda is "long and narrow" and may lie close to the predicted path between the observers. Given the uncertainty the plot is shown on the mid point of the observed chord.
