Aida occultation - 2009 JUly 24

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 67 km diameter of Aida. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Chris was north or south of the central line of the event.
Chris reported a flash of about 0.9 seconds near the middle of the observation which shows as two events above. The most probable explanation for this would be a grazing occultation near the edge and the star showing briefly through a valley. This is supported by the reported slow dimming at the first D.
Three other observers registered for the event on Occult Watcher but were unable to observe.
