Brunhild occultation - 2013 June 14

Discussion:

The circle above is plotted at the expected 48 km diameter of Brunhild. With only one chord it is not possible to determine whether Peter was north or south of the central line of the event. However, assuming the updated prediction was approximately correct the close to maximum chord of about 50km would suggest that the chord might lie close to the central portion of the asteroid.

The figure below shows Peter's Tangra light curve of the occultation.

The figure below shows Dave's cloud affected Tangra light curve of the occultation.

Note that both the target and refewrence drop at he same time indicating that this is cloud effect rather than an occultation. Also if we accept that Peter's event is real then Dave is sufficiently far away for us to be sure this is a Miss.
