On 2021 Nov 28 UT, the 101.1 km diameter asteroid (286) Iclea will occult a 10.0 mag star in the constellation Cetus for observers along a path of significant uncertainty across Australia, from Gympie across central Queensland and The Northern Territory, and northern Western Australia to Wyndham. Note that the one sigma limit includes the eastern coast from about Grafton to Mackay, and the western coast from Broome to Katherine.

In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 4.38 mag to 14.37 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 22.980 seconds.

This update is based on, astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by the IAU Minor Planet Center.
