Reaction times for highly experienced observers are typically a few tenths of a second. Reaction times for inexperienced observers are typically 1-2 seconds. Most observers grossly underestimate their reaction times. Was your reaction time (also known as Personal Equation) subtracted from the above time? : If YES, state value : TIMING ACCURACY: How good your timing was. For example, 0.1-0.2 seconds is excellent; 0.3-0.4 seconds is good; 0.5-0.7 seconds is fair; 0.8-0.9 seconds is poor; 1 second or greater is very poor. Also note here whether the star was particularly faint, or the event significantly early or late. Timing Accuracy : Timing Method : (e.g. Shortwave Time Signal) Recording method : (e.g. Tape Recorder) OTHER DETAILS: Sky Transparency (Delete three) : Excellent Good Fair Poor Seeing (Delete three) : V.Steady Steady Unsteady Turbulent Conditions : (e.g. clear; haze; mist; cloud; event not instantaneous; dark limb visible; during lunar eclipse; star visible only with averted vision).
