Discussion:
The circle above is plotted at the expected diameter of Mombasa. With only one chord, it is not possible to tell if Dean was north or south of the centre line of the event. The circle has been plotted centred on the observed chord.
The event appears to be north of the predicted path.

A drop in brightness over 2 consecutive long integration frames. The dip closely matches the expected magnitude drop.
